Quickbooks Error #15215 occurs when you are performing payroll updates. Another reason for this error might be a conflict with another application that is running in the background when you are trying to download a payroll update. Whenever this error occurs then an error message comes up which states that:- ”Error 15215 unable to verify the digital signature.”

The application, which may be a program, demands a lot of bandwidth, which prevents QB payroll from making a connection with the server. And this error restricts us from accessing the server that leads to no response. The Quickbooks user should keep in mind to update and also upgrade the software after the regular intervals.

Solutions to QuickBooks Error 15215

As mentioned above this QuickBooks Error #15215 occurs by conflicting with another application that is running in the background while attempting to download and install payroll updates. Below mentioned are some of the solutions to solve this QB error.

1. Rebooting Your System

— The first thing we can do is reboot our system. Doing this the application that is protecting the Quickbooks payroll forces to shut it down or ask to reset its setting to get rid of blocked connection by reconfiguring it.

— After doing this, restart the system if the problem has been resolved but an error is appearing after some time interval. Then in this case you should check that no program is running on the system.

2. Run the QuickBooks as Windows Administrator

— If you run the Quickbooks as the windows administrator then it allows the Quickbooks desktop to give priority over other programs in windows. It also indicates window to allow Quickbooks desktop to use other resources also required to work properly

3.Verify the Use TLS 1.0 is checked, and Use TLS 1.1 and Use TLS 1.2 are unchecked in the Internet Options window of Internet Explorer.

— To do this you first shut down the QB application and access or open the “Internet Explorer”.

— Then go to the “tools” icon — internet options tab. After that press the “advanced tab”.Now under settings go to Use TLS 1.0, Use TLS 1.1, and Use TLS 1.2 option.

— Check if Use TLS 1.0 is checked and Use TLS1.1 and Use TLS 1.2 are not checked.

— Now click ok, close the explorer and reboot your system. After restarting go to the QuickBooks option and try to download the update again.

4. Restarting Windows in Selective Startup

If still, you are facing the same problem then try to verify the system for running applications and the programs that may have been obstructed with the QuickBooks payroll update download. Follow the below steps:

— First, turn off the QB application and then in the computer open the ‘run’ windows.

— In the “Run” field, type the misconfiguration and click ok It opens the “system configuration Utility” window.

— On this page, now select the “Selective Startup” and clear the “Load Startup” item box.
